Ash Fork (Escalante)

The Escalante, a Fred Harvey-managed hotel and restaurant, opened in 1907.  Built in the Mission style of concrete and steel, the building had a lunch room, curio shop, newsstand, and barber shop, along with an elegant dining room, on the ground floor.  It closed around 1950 and was demolished in the 1970s.
