This
1.5-mile loop trail from the Agua Caliente Srpings campground has a couple of
challenging sections as it gains and loses 350 feet of elevation, but much of it
follows a wash. Located in the Tierra
Blanca (“white earth”) Mountains, the rocks are very light-colored; thus, the
name Moonlight Canyon. (This hike is not suitable for a moonlight stroll.)
