Rock Canyon State Park is in the El Paso Mountains just north of Mojave, CA.
The red and cream sedimentary layers create contrasts in the cliffs which have
been the background for numerous movies, including
Jurassic Park,
Beneath the Planet of the Apes, Westworld, and Flash Gordon.
